Fraser, MI – IMAO Fixtureworks, manufacturer and supplier of workholding components, expands its line of O.D. form holding clamps. OD clamps are designed to clamp onto the circumference of oddly shaped workpieces. The jaw on these clamps can be machined to custom fit the workpiece as needed.

Concentric-style O.D. clamps feature a compact design that is applicable for workpieces as small as 2.5mm (0.098 in.). Additionally, their innovative design allows for complete-through clamping, making them suitable for holding long parts directly through the clamp.

While compact in size, these concentric O.D. clamps generate high clamping force of up to 4000 lbs. The clamps are mounted to a fixture plate with six socket-head cap screws.

There is also an indicator guide on the cap that allows the user to adjust for torque control. The indicators are guides to read the proper rotation degree amount for torque control without a torque wrench.

The collet jaw on the concentric OD clamp is made from S17C (AISI 1015/1016) steel and the indicator cap is made from aluminum. Two sizes of the contentric OD clamp are available. Additional jaws can be ordered separately.
