These heavy-duty ball-locking pins provide positive locking in quick change applications where there is frequent insertion and removal of a fixture. They provide excellent strength with clamping forces up to 450 lbs. The retractable pin feature allows the clamping fastener to safely slide off from the base without interference. They are designed to be used with the ball-locking receptacles referenced on the table. The pin can be threaded into the fixture and the receptacle is mounted to the base.
When the knob is rotated a quarter turn, the balls on the pin expand and lock the fixture in place. These fasteners will not release until the knob is turned to "OFF", allowing the balls to retract into the shank and allowing the shank to be raised out of the way of the base plate for no interference and no-tool use. The fastener body is made from 303 stainless steel. Knob is made from 304 stainless steel. Wedge, balls and spring are also made from stainless steel.
